Kevin Scott Fleming, a beloved father, son, and skilled craftsman, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana. He was born on September 11, 1963, in Brook, Indiana, to the loving parents Alan and Diane (Odle) Fleming.
Kevin pursued his education with determination, graduating from Rensselaer Central High School before continuing on to trade school, where he honed his skills as a master fabricator in the HVAC industry. Beyond his professional pursuits, Kevin had a creative spirit and was known for his artistic endeavors, which included building hot rods and various other projects. His hands molded not only metal but also memories that will be cherished by many.
His interests were as varied as his talents. A lover of nature, Kevin found joy in spending time in the woods and watching the sunset. He cherished playing cards and sharing meals with friends he made at the Rensselaer Senior Center. Additionally, he held a special fondness for cats, but above all, his greatest pride and joy came from his three children: Kyle, Keifer, and Kelsey. Kevin's love for them was profound and unwavering.
Kevin was part of the Jasper County Retired Iron Club, where he shared camaraderie and passion for fabrication and craft with others who appreciated the art of metalwork.
Kevin is survived by his three children, Kyle Fleming, Keifer Fleming, and Kelsey Fleming; his parents, Alan and Diane Fleming; his brothers, Brannon (Connie) Odle, Jeffrey Fleming, and Scott Fleming (Nadja Smith); his sister-in-law, Jesse Fleming; and his former wife and the mother of his children, Bobbie Jo Fleming. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love and creativity.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Fleming.
