Alfredo G. Mochen Born on September 14, 1935, in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua, Mexico Died on March 14, 2025, in Las Cruces, New Mexico Alfredo proudly joined the Air Force in 1955 and retired in 1975. During his time in the military, he completed tours in Vietnam and Korea. He was a retired Captain at the Doña Ana County Detention Center and served as the Deputy Administrator. Alfredo faithfully attended Las Cruces First for over 40 years. He also enjoyed serving his community driving for Meals on Wheels and assisting in other charitable organizations and events. Alfredo was proceeded in death by his wife, Patricia Mochen, mother Leonor Garcia Anaya, father Bartolo Mochen, sister Diana Gonzalez Mochen, and sister Anita M. Loya. Alfredo is survived in death by his son, Stephen Mochen and former wife Betty Ann, they're children Melinda, Jenifer (husband Glen), and Brandon Mochen. Daughter Kathy Mochen. Son Jose Luis (Louie) Mochen, his wife Alyssa and their daughter Patricia Jean Mochen.
Great grandchildren are Kaleb Ferschke, Kadin Ferschke, Paysley How, Weston How, Blake Muse and Madison Muse.
Surviving siblings include Ernestina M. Gallegos, David Mochen, Leonor A. Rascon, Jorge L. Anaya, Eddie Anaya and Rosanne Anaya Lopez.
Alfredo also leaves behind special friends Laura Ramirez and Frank Jaime. They walked with Alfredo for the last few years and the family is very grateful for them.
The viewing will take place at La Paz-Graham's Funeral home, 555 West Amador Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88005 Thursday, March 27, 2025. Family viewing will be 4pm-5pm, open viewing will be 5pm-7pm. The funeral will be held at Las Cruces First, 5605 Bataan Memorial W., Las Cruces, NM 88012 at 10am. The burial will be at 11:30am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. A lunch will be provided following the burial service at Last Cruces First (You are welcome to bring your favorite dish to share in the lunch celebration).
