Alfredo J. "Freddy" Pena

Alfredo "Freddy" Jesus Pena Jr., born in Victoria, Texas, on June 15, 1968, to Alfredo and Lucy Pena Sr., passed away unexpectedly in a hospital in Louisiana on May 20, 2025, at the age of 56. Freddy was a beloved son, brother, father, husband, and grandfather. He was a graduate of Mathis High school and worked in sales for Martin Freightliner in Lake Charles Louisiana. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the casino with his wife, fishing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his children and family.
Alfredo (Freddy) is preceded in death by his brother Gary Pena.
Alfredo (Freddy) is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jodi Lee Simmons Pena, and his children, Freddy (Ariel) Pena, Alexis (Jamarcus Anderson) Pena, and Jason Pena. He is also survived by his parents, Alfredo and Lucy Pena Sr.; siblings Belinda Pena (Jesse Urdiales) and Larry (Stefanie) Pena, and his grandchildren Austin, Ayden, Ashtyn, and Amelia Anderson. Karter, Damian, and Remi Pena and be loved grand-cat Sylvester.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, Texas, on Friday, May 30, 2025. A gathering with the family will begin at 9:00am, the Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30am, and the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Descanso Eterno Cemetery #2.
