Alice P. "Babe" Fisher, 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence, Rhode Island. Born on January 4, 1928, in Richmond, Virginia, she was the youngest child of the late Carter and Eva (Twine) White. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlton Fisher, who passed away in 1998.

Alice was a devoted and loving woman whose greatest calling in life was caring for others. With a natural maternal instinct and a warm, generous spirit, she spent much of her life helping families - whether by nannying children, supporting households, or compassionately caring for those in their final days.

She was a woman of old-world values who never missed a chance to send a thoughtful card or letter for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. Alice took pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming home, always meticulous and ready to greet loved ones. Her thoughtfulness and ability to stay "one step ahead" of everyone around her made her a constant source of comfort and reliability to those who knew her.

Alice was predeceased by her brothers Curtis White (Madeline), Carter White Jr. (Vivian), Ernest White Sr. (Mattie), Frederick White Sr. (Lula), Percell White, Charles White Sr. (Thelma), and her sister Lerlean White Taylor (Jerome).

Her daughter, Nadia Almaz, passed away on September 19, 2025. She is survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, along with many other extended family members and friends including her very dear friend Robert Salter and his wife Rebekah Rylander Salter.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be private.
