Alice L. Golter, 72, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died December 29, 2023 at Gothenburg Health in Gothenburg, NE.
Alice Lenore Golter was born October 29, 1951, to Edwin and Anita (Welch) Imler in North Platte, NE.
She attended school at Brady and was very proud of having perfect attendance for numerous years. She grew up in Brady and Gothenburg.
On October 30, 1971, she married Darel Mitch Golter at Brady, NE. They resided in Callaway. Over the years, they moved several times and made their final home in Gothenburg. During this time, they had five children, Anita, Kandy, Gidgit, Sabrina and Nolan.
Alice spent many years as a cashier at the grocery stores in town. She enjoyed visiting and getting to know the customers. Family meant everything to Alice including spending time and caring for her 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Yahtzee with her sister, Rhonda.
Alice is survived by her husband, Darel Mitch Golter of Gothenburg, NE; her children, Anita (Keith) Maline of Gothenburg, NE, Kandy Halley of Gothenburg, NE, Gidgit (Shane) Jobman of Moss, TN, Sabrina (Shane) Bryant of Gothenburg, NE, Nolan (Traci) Golter of Gothenburg, NE; her siblings Ira Imler of Colorado, Walter (Lorraine) Imler of Hershey, NE, Rhonda Imler of Missouri; sister-in-law Marge (Kenny) Peterson of Bertrand, NE, sister-in-law Deb (Cliff) Anthony of Lexington, NE, brother-in-law John (Brenda) Golter of North Platte, NE; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin T. Imler; mother, Anita Stickelman; sister, Mary Bodfield; father-in-law, Darel Golter; mother-in-law, Hazel Golter.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Newman officiating.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, 1540 South 70th Street, Suite 100, Lincoln, NE 68506.
