Alice R. Hall (known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren and “Cookie” by her friends/other family). She was born in Jefferson County, Louisville Ky, on June 13, 1959,and passed from her home in Whitley County, Corbin, Ky on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband, James Noel Hall, whom she married 47 years ago on June 24, 1977; her son, Joseph (Crystal) Hall; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Ashtyn Hall, Josiah Hall, Asher Hall, and Theodore Hall; nephew, Steven Powell, and sister-in-law, Lesha Powell, from her late brother, Joe Powell; many other nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws; and a host of close friends and relatives.
Alice is preceded in death by her mother and father, Inezes and Thermon Powell and her siblings, whom she was the youngest; her sister, Barbara Powell Jasper and her brother, Joe Powell.
She also enjoyed many different careers over the years, she was employed by Dr. Castle as a Veterinarian Tech for 20 years, she was a volunteer firefighter for Oak Grove Fire Dept. in Corbin, KY, also testing and becoming a firefighter instructor, with her husband, for over 20 years. She loved most of all being an EMT at Whitley County EMS, along with her son, where she worked for 20 years and retired.
Alice was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Corbin, Ky. She was dedicated to and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart We truly know she is rejoicing with the angels and in abundance of peace with the Heavenly Father.
Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Thursday November 14, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 2pm on Friday November 15th at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
