Alice Hann Obituary

Alice Marie Hann, 80, a longtime resident of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully at home, with loving family at her bedside, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, ending her battle with cancer. Born in West Philadelphia, Alice was the daughter of the late William J. Ryan and the late Alice S. (nee McDermott) Ryan, the devoted wife of Richard E. Hann since 1965, the loving mother of Christine Krause (Andy) of Bensalem, Michelle Suess (Ted) of King of Prussia and Keith Hann (Cindy) of Lakewood, CO, the proud grandmother of Brady Hann, Jacob Hann, T.J. Suess, Michael Suess and Liam Hann and the cherished sister of the late Charlotte McCann. In addition, Alice is survived by her brother-in-law Edward F. McCann of Drexel Hill and her nieces and nephews.
Alice was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School, and went on to a fulfilling career as a contact lens technician for American Vision Center. She was a devout and very active member of Mother of Divine Providence Church, known there as an MDP Mom. Alice stayed active teaching slimnastics for Upper Merion Parks and Recreation. She will be remembered as a very elegant woman who enjoyed fine dining and spending time with her loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA 19405, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., 610-275-6385, www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com, on Tuesday, October 15, where a viewing for Alice will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Alice will be Celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16 at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The family will greet guests at the Church from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. Interment will follow Mass in Calvary Cemetery. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to Mother of Divine Providence Church in her name at the above address.
