Alice Nelle Hargraves

Mrs. Alice Nelle Hargraves, 82, of Eldorado, passed away at 12:55 PM, Monday, January 10th, 2011 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was the widow of Billy Gholson Hargraves who preceded her in death. They were married May 11, 1956. Alice was born in Eldorado, Illinois on June 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Harvey E. and Robert Gertrude "Bobbie" (Scott) Little. She was a member of Star General Baptist Church for 65 years making her the oldest living member. She was employed by Ferrell Hospital for 29 years prior to retirement, prior to that she was a secretary for the superintendent of the Eldorado School System and had also worked at Burnetts Bank. Alice is survived by a daughter, Alice (Doug) Uzzle of Harrisburg, a son, Lindell R. Hargraves of Eldorado and Two grandchildren Jeremy (Kristy) Smith of Eldorado and Melissa (Michael) Dunn of Harrisburg and four great grandchildren, Andrew and Katie Julian of Eldorado and Trevor and Trenton Dunn of Harrisburg. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers; Harell E. Little and PFC James H. Little and three sisters Beatrice Little, Roma Maxine Rudolph and Yutha Pauline Phelps. Funeral Services at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 with Rev. Darrell Eisenhauer and Rev. Jeff Roth Officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
