Alice Heller, 90, of South Toledo, went home to her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2025, at Otterbein of Monclova with her family by her bedside. She was born January 24, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Perpetua (Altmanshofer) Soldner.
Alice worked at Schorling's grocery store as a cashier for 35 years, retiring when it closed in 2016.
Alice was a long-time member of Calvary Church and served the Lord wholeheartedly.
Alice is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa (Jim) Janowiecki, Brenda (Tom) Wodarski, Joni (Doug) Tolles, grandchildren Kaitlyn (Russ) McArthur, Janell Heller, Todd (Emma) Janowiecki, and Alicia (Andrew) McCaffrey, and great-grandchildren Loki Williams, Chase and Caroline McArthur, Rook Blossom, Calvin and Desi Janowiecki. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Munding, Janet Bachmayer, and Eleanor Olsen; her sister-in-law, Ann Westin; and many nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Heller, and by her sisters, Ann Marie Cummins and Ladonna Soldner, and her brothers, Bob Soldner, Bill Soldner, Joe Soldner, and Richard Soldner.
Her family wishes to thank Otterbein of Monclova for their excellent care over the last year and a half. They would also like to thank her good friends and family, Terri, Erika, and Beth, for their kindness.
Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025, at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio, starting at 10:00 a.m., where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials be given to Calvary Church's "Room for More" fund.
