Alice Rosella Jordan, 91, of Milford Center, a beloved member of her community and a dedicated public servant, passed away on May 27, 2025, at Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, following a brief illness. Born on November 11, 1933, in Union County, Rosella’s life was a tapestry woven with kindness, warmth, and a genuine love for others.
Rosella devoted many years to serving her community through various roles. Her professional journey began at the R.G. Berry Company in Columbus and later took her to the Milford Center Bank. For a significant part of her career, Rosella was a respected secretary with the Fairbanks Local Schools, where she touched the lives of countless students, building enduring relationships and leaving an indelible mark in their hearts. After her retirement, she continued to serve others as an associate at the Mannasmith Funeral Home.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Rosella was a proud graduate of Hilliard High School, class of 1952. She was a longtime, active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where her passion for service flourished. She served as the church finance secretary and participated in the Ladies Aid Group and Luther League, fostering connections and friendships that enriched her life. Her involvement extended to becoming a member of the Ann Simpson Davis Chapter of the D.A.R., showcasing her dedication to service and community.
Rosella will be remembered fondly for her kind and welcoming personality. She had a warm smile that brightened the lives of those around her. In her free time, she found joy in knitting and playing pinochle, hobbies that allowed her to connect with friends and family, creating cherished memories.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her sister, Leona Jones of Dublin; her brother, John Brown of Amlin; nephew Scott A Jones and niece Kim (Steve) Sparks, as well as nephews Charles (Patti) Brown, Ryan, Roy (Jessica), and Russell (Naomi) Brown, and numerous great nieces and nephews who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness.
Rosella is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, John F. Jordan, Jr., whom she married on October 13, 1957, at St. John's Lutheran Church, as well as her parents, Roy and Agnes (Bower) Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Pastor Jacob D. Heino will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery, next to her husband. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to L.E.A.P. or Growing Roots and envelopes will be available at the church.
