Brenda Jones of Junction City, Ohio, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend to many, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity. She was 66 years old.
Born in 1958, Brenda graduated from Hilliard High School in 1977. It was there she met the love of her life, Michael Jones, with whom she shared decades of marriage until his passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Eva Cobb of Junction City, Ohio, and her beloved husband, Michael Jones.
Brenda was the proud mother of five children: Kristi Thomas (Steve) of Dacula, GA, Venita Jolie (Ken) of Dacula, GA, Brian Stearns (Paula) of Bethlehem, GA, Gabriella Jones, and Rachel Jones. She was also a loving grandmother to nine adoring grandchildren: Alyssa Stearns, Lydia Liburd (Hezekiah), Zachary Stearns, Kendall Wilkins, Seth Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Taylor Silock, Ella Jolie, and Trent Jolie. She is also survived by her brother, Steve, and his wife, Laura Cobb of Phoenix, AZ. Her family was her greatest joy, and she embraced every moment spent with them.
A homemaker by heart and a baker by trade, Brenda was well known throughout New Lexington, Ohio, and the surrounding areas for her delicious homemade treats. She ran her own bakery, Roselynn's, where locals came not only for the sweets but for Brenda's warm smile and kind spirit. She also enjoyed sharing her baked goods at the Bremen Farmer's Market, becoming a familiar and beloved face to many in the community.
Brenda had a deep love for animals, especially her two dogs-her faithful French Bulldog, Lucy, and her lively Boston Terrier puppy, Susie-both of whom remained her loving companions.
Her faith in the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life. Brenda shared God's love by giving food and clothing to those in need, living out her belief in serving others with compassion and grace.
She was happiest when traveling-whether camping, sitting by the ocean, or simply driving the open road with no particular destination in mind. Brenda had a free spirit, a contagious laugh, and a knack for bringing joy into any room she entered. Her children and grandchildren will always treasure the memories of her goofy antics, spontaneous adventures, and the light she brought into their lives.
Brenda's legacy of love, laughter, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A showing will be held on Thursday, May 29 from 5 – 8 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, 124 Fort St., Bremen, OH, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul she was. She will be laid to rest with a graveside service, Friday, May 30 at 10:30 AM at Jerome Township Cemetery, 9777 Industrial Pkwy, Plain City, OH, where she will be reunited with her late husband, Michael.
