Alice Lewis Obituary

The funeral service will be held Monday at 12 pm at Community Baptist Church in Ayden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Faye, a longtime resident of the Ayden community, retired from JC Penney in Greenville. She loved to dance and was an original member of the Shimmy Shakerz line dancing group. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, flowers, playing Bingo, doing puzzles, and attending Community Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Laura Mae Garris; siblings, Robert Earl Garris, Dolly Langston, Bonnie Avery, and Judy Garris.
She is survived by her daughters, Jazett Shivers (Billy) of Ayden and Jennifer Harris (Michael) of Grifton; grandchildren, Amber Starcher (Zach), Dylan Stancill (Haylee), Jonathan Shivers, Trent Lambert, and Natalie Lambert (Germain); great-grandchildren, Ryan Starcher and Nile Germain; siblings, Lynda Wright, Millard Garris (Ann), Brantly Garris, and Gary Garris (Karen); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
