Alice L. Pinnekamp

Alice Lorraine (Boisen) Pinnekamp, age 95, of Schaller, Iowa passed away on July 3, 2025 at Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Odebolt. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the CHURCH. Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Hour Ministries or St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born March 30, 1930, to Henry and Henrietta Reineke Boisen of Early, Iowa. She was baptized on August 9, 1933, and was confirmed with her brother, Verdeen, on April 18, 1943, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage on April 11, 1948, to John Pinnekamp of Arthur, Iowa.
Alice attended Cook # 6 Country School and Early High School where music was her interest. She was the accompanist for Glee Cub during Junior and Senior years. Alice graduated as valedictorian on May 22, 1947.
Alice studied piano and organ for five years at Buena Vista College, and was the organist for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller for 10 years. She also played for church services at the Odebolt Nursing Home. She was Treasurer of Ladies Aid for several years and a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Alice and John retired and moved into their home in Schaller in May, 1981. They enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling, especially to Army-Air Force Reunions. Alice enjoyed reading, quilting, and machine embroidery. Since late 2018, Alice lived at the Methodist Manor Retirement Center (MMRC) in Storm Lake. Alice's family is grateful to everyone at MMRC for the wonderful care and support provided to Alice.
Alice is survived by her children Lyle (Mary Lou) of Garner, Iowa and Dale (Lynda) of Gallatin, Tennessee, Daughter-in-Law Ellen Pinnekamp Waukesha, WI; three granddaughters Lynn (Gerardo) Pinnekamp-Perez, Kari (David) Shaffer and Molly (Joe) Nordin; her brother Paul (Sharon) Boisen, Storm Lake; along with two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Henrietta Boisen, her husband, John, their sons Curtis and Merle, and siblings Carroll, Darleen, Luvern, and Verdeen.
