Dwight Dean Fitzsenry, age 73, of Schaller, Iowa died June 22, 2025 at his home in Schaller.
Celebration of Life will take place Friday, July 11, 2025 after kiddie parade toast at 7:30 p.m. at 504 S. Perth St. in Schaller.
Dwight was born to Robert and Thelma (Vogler) Fitzsenry on May 10th 1952 in Schaller. He attended Schaller Community School, graduating in 1970 from high school where he played football, basketball, and baseball. With his love for sports, Dwight went on to coach young kids in baseball. He worked at Consolidated Popcorn, Hygrade, Bilmar, and 12go2 Transportation before he retired. He was always up for a round of golf with friends or watching the Hawkeyes and Packers play while having a beer or two.
Dwight was blessed with two children, Nathan and Angie, and four grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Nathan Fitzsenry of Carroll, Iowa; Angela Cockerham (Russell) of Alta, Iowa; grandchildren: Ethan and Lilly Fitzsenry; Evan and Lylah Cockerham; sisters: Tamera (Pat) Davis of Austin, Texas; Darla Miller of Schaller, Iowa; Janda (David) Radke of Galva, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Thelma Fitzsenry; brother: Todd Fitzsenry; brother-in-law: Denny Miller; son-in-law: Michael Cockerham.
