She was proceeded in death by her parents Ellis and Opal (Dirden) Felker. Surviving are her two children daughter Matisha DelaCruz of Charlotte, NC and son Darell (Jay) Randolph of Collinsville, IL. She had 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
Alice had a long distant loving relationship with Gary Stonewall (Rock) for 10 years and they were friends for 54 years. She had many other close friends throughout her life, including a weekly lunch group, and many from southern IL (Carbondale/Murphysboro) where they had an annual pig roast celebration.
She worked hard to achieve her Doctorate degree and was a retired professor at SIU-Edwardsville. Alice traveled to many different countries and had a life full of adventure.
Alice impacted many lives and will be deeply missed.
Memorials can be made to the Alice Prince Award via "3209 - Public Health Department Development" at siue.edu or checks can be made out to "SIUE Foundation" with "Alice Prince Award" in the memo and mailed to the following address:

Alice was so kind to our son, Lenon, when he was her student. She went out of her way to extend "home studies" when he had heart surgery.
We met her a few times and she stayed in touch with Lenon & his wife Angie. Alice had dinner with them in their home.
After seeing my husband Bob´s art work at Lenon´s house, she traveled to the Mitchell Museum in Mt Vernon to view my husband´s art work there. She came to an art walk venue in Wood River, to specially purchase a small drawing of my husband´s "blue jeans".
Most of all, Alice was a caring and compassionate lady, "a true educator".
How blessed you were to have her as your mother.
