Alice Sheley Obituary
Mrs. Sheley was born on August 22, 1937 in Springfield, Georgia to the late Chancy Exley and the late Myrtie Wilson Exley. She was a class of 1955 graduate of Effingham Academy and retired from Savannah Electric & Power in 2005 with 10 years of service. She also worked for Gulfstream and Lamborn Brokerage Firm. Mrs. Sheley was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Trey Sheley; and brother, Dallas Exley.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, John Sheley, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Chan & Ginger Sheley; sister and brother-in-law, Louise & Stan Riter; and grandchildren, Sydney Sheley Wise, Jacob Andrew Sheley, and Macy Lynn Sheley.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Temple (4625 Waters Ave Savannah, GA 31404).
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Springfield, Georgia.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Chapel Savannah, GA 31406).
The family would like to express their appreciation to Pat, Veronica, and Debbie for the care and compassion.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
