LANCASTER - Alisa “Lisa” Leone (Coburn) Beck Nihles, 66, of Appleton, WI, formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday morning, September 9, 2023, at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, WI.
She received a B.A. degree and subsequently an M.A. degree in speech therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lisa worked as a speech and language therapist and as a regional administrator for speech therapy in the Wisconsin public education system, most recently at the Potosi School District before retiring in 2021.
As a cherished mother and grandmother, Lisa devoted every waking moment to her children and grandchildren. Camping, watching Packers games, playing card games and enjoying a Brandy Old Fashioned with family and friends were some of her favorite things to do.
She was a favorite in many hearts for her loving, generous, supportive, selfless, loyal and giving personality. She continues to give even in death as an organ donor.
Lisa had a great sense of humor, although yes, she could be outspoken! She brought smiles and joy to everyone and will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her.
She is survived by her husband Gary Nihles of Appleton, her son Jason (Heather) Beck of Appleton, her daughter Amy (Amanda) Beck of Medford, her step-son Jason (Lindsay) Nihles of Lancaster; her siblings: Jess (Lynn) Coburn, Lani Coburn (Doug Krueger), Lauri (Bob) Dewey, Jayna (Drake) Bonnell, Cara (John) Rhode, her brothers and sisters-in-law: David (Julie) Nihles, Diane (Ken) Taylor, Kathy (Cy) Wilson, Mary (Greg) Fisher; and her seven grandchildren Gavin and Grant Beck, Aiden and Adelynn Beck, and Lincoln, Jaxon and Jordy Nihles.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Leone Coburn, her brother Kevin, and her brother-in-law, Steven Nihles.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Cemetery, South Lancaster Township.
