Alla Anne Jenkins Bryant, lovingly known as Allie, of Deming, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in the care of Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, New Mexico, with family members present. She was 77 years old.
Born on May 10, 1948, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Allie lived a life devoted to faith, family, and service to others. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Deming, she carried a strong and unwavering Christian faith throughout her life.
Allie spent her career as a passionate educator, first teaching at Chaparral Elementary School and later working with teenagers at Tierra Blanca Ranch. Her gentle guidance, dedication, and compassion left a lasting impact on the many young lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Jenkins and Leola Jenkins Whitaker.
Allie is survived by her two daughters, Michelle Coburn (Sean) of Savannah, Georgia, and Cindy Tovar (Jorge) of Houston, Texas. She was a devoted grandmother to Hannah and Liam Coburn, and Olivia, Mateo, Elijah, and Gia Tovar. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Hewitt (Allan) of Vero Beach, Florida, and her brother, Louis Jenkins (Kay) of Deming, New Mexico. In addition, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Allie will be remembered for her deep faith, warm heart, dedication to children, and the love she gave so freely to family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at The First Baptist Church of Deming, New Mexico. Alla will then be laid to rest with her mother at Mountain View Cemetery. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca's Mimbres Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice in her memory.
