Allan C. Bingaman, 97, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at Adel Acres. Graveside services will be held for the family on August 30, 2025.
Allan was born in Guthrie Center to C.C. Bingaman and Jeane Douglas Ashline. He was a avid Hawkeye fan and especially enjoyed watching Caitlin Clark. A proud veteran, he witnessed the testing of the Atomic Bomb. He often shared the story of having two Thanksgiving dinners after crossing the International Date Line. One of his favorite hobbies was watching football with his son, Doug, who was his caretaker during the past seven years.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Allen, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by four children, three brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by seven children who will miss him dearly and cherish his memory.
