Allan Gerald Blaker passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 85.
A Memorial service will be held on June 27th, 11:00 am, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home.
Allan was born in Parkers Prairie Village, MN on Jan 4, 1940 to Frank and Myrtle (Jensen) Blaker. He graduated from Owatonna High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Mankato State College in Minnesota, and an MBA from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.
Allan, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, served from 1962 until 1965, attaining the rank of 1st Lt. He worked as a Console Operator with a specialization in Weapons Control. Following his military service, Allan built a successful career in business, holding key positions such as Financial Controller for such companies as Northern Natural Gas and Sperry Vickers. He later became President of the Paul Monroe Company. Allan shared 25 years of marriage with his first wife, Patricia Burkheiser, and together they raised three daughters -Suzanne, Melissa, and Allyson - living in various locations across the Midwest. Allan eventually settled in Portland, OR, with his second wife Shirley Knori Blaker, where he resided for 22 years. In 2014 he moved to Waco, TX due to his work with Fritz Schur Consumer Products, as well as to be closer to his daughter, step-daughters, and their families.
Allan is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Blaker and Myrtle Blaker, his brother, Eugene Blaker, and second wife, Shirley Knori Blaker. He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Blaker Jacobson and her husband Michael Jacobson of Waco, TX, Melissa Sosnowski and her husband Mark Sosnowski of Rochester, MI, Allyson Mancini and her husband Nicholas Mancini III of Coral Springs, FL; stepchildren Kevin Wilde and his wife Sherry Wilde of Perry, OK, Vickie Mullen and her husband Mike Mullen of Dallas, TX, Deanne Sims and her husband Ray Sims of Dallas, TX, and Leanne Bernard of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Abigale Jacobson of Los Angeles, CA, Mackenzie Clegg and her husband Nickolas Clegg of Grand Rapids, MI, Bayley Saville and her fiancée Michael Brzozowski of Grand Rapids, MI, Nicholas Mancini IV and his wife Brianna Mancini of Coconut Creek, FL, Alexandra Mancini of Coral Springs, FL, Tristan Wilde, Tera Wilde, Tyrin Wilde, Landon Wilde, Kendalynn Wilde, Tori Green and husband Will Green all of Perry, OK, Caston Mullen and wife Maggie Mullen of Nashville, TN, Ethan Mullen of Dallas, TX, Walker Sims of Dallas, TX, and Georgia Bernard of Los Angeles, CA.
