Allan W. Forrest, 71, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Bristol, widower of Marsha (Parsons) Forrest, died on November 11, 2024 in Tucson.
Allan was born on August 13, 1953, in Southington and was a son of the late William and Dorothy (Rindfleisch) Forrest. A longtime Bristol resident, he graduated from Bristol Central High School. He worked for New Britain Machine, Wire and Plastics, and the Bristol Water Department. He received his umpire license down in Williamsport and was a longtime umpire for McCabe-Waters Little League. He enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers and best friends when he was younger, reading his Louis L'Amour novels, and was an avid Yankee fan.
Allan is survived by two children: William Forrest of Bristol, and Kelly Forrest and Troy Quirion of Plainville; brothers: David Forrest and wife Deborah of Wethersfield, and Peter Forrest and wife, Kathleen of Bristol; sisters: Diane St. Laurent and husband, Robert of Franklin, and Kathleen Waltz and husband, Eric of Southington; two grandchildren: Alicia Quirion and William Forrest, Jr.; great-grandson, Warren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson: Troy Quirion, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 AM. Private burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery, Bristol. Please visit Allan's memorial website at www.FunkFuneralHome.com.
