Mark S. Levasseur

Mark S. Levasseur, 63, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Friday (July 18, 2025) in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 6, 1961 in Bristol and went to Bristol Eastern High School.
He grew up going to Vermont skiing and snowmobiling. He lived there for many years. He was also a member of the Deeerfield Valley Stumpjumpers. He volunteered to groom the trails in winter and in the summer he would clear the trails to prepare for the winter months. He was also an insurance adjuster for The Hartford Insurance for many years in Connecticut and New Hampshire. He retired and moved to Florida, and enjoyed time living near his parents. He came back to Connecticut and enjoyed fishing, cars, racing, family and keeping his house meticulous.
He is survived by his sister, Christine Bruce, her husband Michael and their three children, Jennifer, Samantha and Jonathan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Dolores (Gendreau) Levasseur, and his beloved dog: Buster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 8, 2025 (Friday) at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on August 8th prior to the Mass between 8:30 and 9:30 AM.
