Allan B. Nass, 76, of Wausau, passed away peacefully at his home on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 5, 1949, in Merrill, son of the late Marvin and Lucille (Jaeger) Nass. A loving husband, Allan married Diane (Hulke) Nass on April 24, 1976, at Faith Lutheran Church in the Town of Maine.

Allan dedicated over 20 years of his life to providing compassionate care as a psych tech in the Alzheimer's and Dementia ward at North Central Health Care in Wausau. He later worked as a caregiver for the Chadwick Street Group Home in Schofield, a facility he proudly helped establish through NCHC. He especially found joy in cooking for the residents there up until his retirement in 2004.

Coming from a large family himself, Allan cherished having a full house and took great pleasure in nurturing relationships with his loved ones, especially enjoying the company of his grandchildren. He was well-known for his culinary skills, particularly his famous German potato salad, which was always a highlight during family meals. In addition to his culinary talents, Allan had an appreciation for gardening and canning.

Among his proudest accomplishments was the opportunity to host exchange students from Central America, an experience both he and his wife thoroughly enjoyed, allowing him to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Allan is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Nass, of Wausau; his children, Jason Nass of Rothschild, Minnie Desotelle of Wausau, and Heber (Michelle) Deleon of Wausau; six grandchildren, Alayna (Tommy) Amann of Mosinee, Michael Nass, Mary and Garrett Desotelle, David and Adriana Deleon, all of Wausau; and four great-grandchildren, Ari, RaeLynn, Lilith, and Saphira. He leaves behind six siblings, Ralph (Linda) Nass, Glenn (Elaine) Nass, Karen (John) Bloechl, Sharon (Paul) Pugnier, Susan (Jeff) Forster, and Brian (Marge) Nass. Allan is also remembered by his sister-in-law, Mary (Gary) Schwartz, and brother-in-law, Ernest (Sandy) Hulke, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dennis, and a sister-in-law, Dawn (Junior) Liestikow.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, located at 6205 Alderson St, Weston, Wisconsin. Rev. Lance Hoelscher will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice – especially nurse Amanda for the compassionate care during his final months, as well as Pastor Lance Hoelscher for his prayers, visits and kindness.
