Allen Armbrecht

Allen D. Armbrecht, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away July 11, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, on Thursday, July 17th at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Allen was born on July 10, 1937, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Elwood August and Ina Blanche (Yetley) Armbrecht. He graduated from Franklin High School. Allen was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Dolores F. Boyles on August 3, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked for Rockwell Collins as a welder, retiring in 1999. Allen was active in baseball in his younger days. He also enjoyed golf and crossword puzzles. Allen was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his son, DeWayne of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Diane Fleege and her husband, Dennis of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Larry and his wife, Debbie of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Deanna, Dennis, and Dixie and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dolores in 2003; and a brother, Delbert.
Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids or the Linn County Food Bank.
