Arthur Eugene Armbrecht

Arthur Eugene Armbrecht passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 79 after a battle with dementia and Parkinson's. He was born on April 23, 1946, to his parents Donald Eugene Armbrecht and Odulla Armbrecht in Findlay, Ohio. They moved to Avon Lake where Art enjoyed playing football and graduated from Avon Lake High School in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Findlay. He met his wife, Gail Rotz, in the ninth grade at Learwood Junior High. They married on August 17, 1968, at Saint Joseph's Church in Avon Lake. They raised their family in Avon Lake where they were involved in many community activities. Art was involved in Avon Lake as a youth soccer coach. He was instrumental in starting the Avon Lake Booster Club and was President of the Lorain County Builders Association. Art was part of the 1962 Avon Lake Sports Hall of Fame Shoremen football team. Art was Vice President of Kopf Builders for over 30 years before retiring in 2002. After retiring, he and Gail moved to their vacation home in Chautauqua Lake, New York. In his spare time, he enjoyed sailing on Chautauqua Lake, snow skiing, and singing in the church choir.

He was the beloved husband of Gail (nee Rotz). Father to Scott (Holly) Armbrecht of Avon Lake, Darin Armbrecht of Highlands Ranch, CO and Brian Armbrecht (Jen) of Crested Butte, CO. He was the cherished Grandfather of Abbie, Catie, Haley, Carley, Kaden, Ashton, Ethan and Bailey. Art also leaves behind his older brothers William of Sandusky and Gary Armbrecht of Glen Arbor, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Odulla Armbrecht and sister Greta Armbrecht.

A visitation for Art will be held at Busch Funeral Home at 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012 on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Joseph's Church at 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012 on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 am.
