Donald James Schuh, 87, of Avon Lake, OH, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025. Born on June 6, 1938 in Cleveland, OH, Don was a devoted spouse, loving parent, grandparent, and great-grandparent as well as a cherished member of his community. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and lasting impact on everyone he met. Known for his love of traveling, he developed a passion for seeing the world with his family, a love that would stay with him throughout his life.

A life-long resident of Avon Lake, Don attended Avon Lake High School and graduated in 1956. He then attended Ohio University, studying business. Don had a fulfilling career working for BF Goodrich in Avon Lake. Known for his dedication, intelligence, and work ethic, he made a lasting impact and retired after 30 years.

In 1962, Don married Vicki, a marriage that would last 63 years. Together they raised a beautiful family and he was the proud parent of three daughters: Gail, Donna, and Kimberly. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and his relationships with loved ones were always characterized by fondness and dedication. Don was also a doting grandparent to eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride.

Don had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought joy and fulfillment. He was particularly passionate about sports, whether he was watching all the Cleveland sports teams or attending an auto race. He held annual pit row tickets to the Indy 500 for 35 years. Don loved attending all of his children and grandchildren's sporting events, which he enjoyed sharing with Vicki. He also had a love for traveling, visiting all 50 states in America throughout his life.

Don is survived by wife Vicki, children Gail (Rudy), Donna (Rajiv), and Kim (John), and grandchildren Rudy Jr (Nicole), Luke (Katie), Emily, Allison, Katy (Luke Janosik), Dan, Lauren, and Tim, and sister Debbie Lohman (Tom). He was preceded in death by his father James Schuh, mother Ruth Schuh, sister Joanne Schuh, and brother Chuck Rossbach Sr. The family finds comfort in knowing that Don will continue to live on in their hearts and memories.

A celebration of Don's life will be held at Busch Funeral Home in Avon Lake on October 20, 2025 with visitation taking place from 5-8pm. A private burial will be held at Resthaven Memory Garden at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Don's memory.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of Don's caregivers and his healthcare team for their love and support. Don will be greatly missed but will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
