Margery Lorraine Armbrecht age 96 of Fredericksburg, IA, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Whispering Willows Assisted Living in Fredericksburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg with Rev. Ronnie Koch officiating.
Interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg with Allan Armbrecht, Andy Armbrecht, Bill Armbrecht, Lyndon Wolken, Karen (Riese) Hill, and Michael Armbrecht serving as pallbearers. Matthew Scroggins, Carrie Armbrecht, Simon Scroggins, Kyle Armbrecht, Kristen Edgington, Abby Luvert, and Katie Reno will be serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. Visitation continues one hour prior to services at the church in Fredericksburg on Saturday.

Born on July 12, 1928, in Marshalltown, Iowa, Margery's life was a testament to her faith, family and her community.
Affectionately known as "Grandma Marge" by all who knew her, Marge's nurturing spirit was evident from a young age. After completing her high school education in Dunbar, Iowa she furthered her education by obtaining a Teacher Certificate from Iowa State Teachers College. Prior to her marriage, she devoted herself to educating young minds at Immanuel Lutheran School in Waterloo.
Marge found the love of her life and married Richard Armbrecht at St. John Lutheran Church in State Center on her birthday, July 12, 1953. The couple settled in Clemons and later moved to Fredericksburg in 1958, eventually making their way into town in 1968.
Marge returned to the workforce, spending 15 years at Sunrise Guest Home in Fredericksburg, where her caring nature made her a favorite among residents. In 1983 Marge and Richard purchased the "Cheeseburg" in Fredericksburg. A place where her personality drew people together.
Marge's kitchen was the heart of her home, always filled with the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip and sugar cookies. She was known for her cinnamon rolls, a tradition she lovingly adjusted when her husband was diagnosed with diabetes. At this point her children never got another fresh baked roll. Her love for her family was shown in her home cooked meals always around the large dining room table. Marge was a gatherer of friends and family having enough for everyone to share a cry, a laugh, a story or anything that needed sharing. She was a very good listener.
Volunteering was second nature to Marge, and she spent countless hours at Fun in the Son Daycare, the church and community organizations touching the lives of many.
Marge's love for playing cards (especially Rook)was more than a pastime; it was a way for her to connect with friends and family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her ability to make everyone feel like part of her extended family was one of her most remarkable gifts.
Above all, Marge will be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous soul. Her legacy is not just in the lives of her immediate family but in the broader community that she embraced as her own. Her radiant smile and compassionate heart will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Marge's memory will continue to inspire those who were touched by her grace.
Marge is survived by her sons: Steven (Sue-deceased)Armbrecht of Cedar Falls and Ray (Lorraine) Armbrecht of Fredericksburg; her daughters: Ann Scroggins of Fredericksburg, Carol (Spencer) Luvert of Cedar Falls, and Mary (Jerry) Reno of Fredericksburg; her grandchildren: Matthew Scroggins (Rod Smith), Carrie Armbrecht (Dewand Young), Kyle (Jane) Armbrecht, Kristen (Justin) Edgington, Abby (Matthew Thomaschefsky) Luvert, and Katie (Jesse Jones) Reno; her great grandchildren: Keon (Millie) Young, Elsie Mae, Greta Jane, Hazel Grace, Flynn Patrick Armbrecht and Bayler and Brooklee Edgington; her brother-in-law Melvin Hupfeld; her sister-in-law Bonnie (Wolken) Kunch and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Elna (Brucklacher) Wolken; her husband Richard Armbrecht; her daughter-in-law Sue Armbrecht; her grand son Simon Scroggins; her sisters: Rosina Borcherding and Cloris Hupfeld; and her brother Stanley Wolken.
