Allen Bloomfield Obituary
Allen E. Bloomfield, Age 74, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly July 26, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Allen was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky April 23, 1950 to the late Shelby and Florence Clark Bloomfield. Allen worked for various sawmills in the area as a logger, cutting timber. He liked collecting shotguns and shooting them going to turkey shoots around the area. He loved tinkering with small engines lawnmowers and weed eaters.
Preceded in death beside his parents were two sisters- Hazel Lake and Flora Carrington, brothers- Herbert Bloomfield, Vernon Dean Bloomfield, and Charles Bloomfield.
Left to cherish Allen's memories is his wife of 54 years Helen Collins Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Daughters- Karen Lopez, and Patricia Mejia both of Maysville, Kentucky.
Sons- Allen Bloomfield Jr. of Wallingford, Kentucky, James (Revena) Bloomfield of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Adam (Mackenzie) Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Brother- Rick (Brenda) Bloomfield of Vanceburg, Kentucky. 10 grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren along with many family and friends who also will mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at the Head of Grassy.
Pallbearers for Allen E. Bloomfield will be James Bloomfield, Allen Bloomfield Jr., Adam Bloomfield, Jacob Bloomfield, Jonathon Pollitt, and Jesse Pollitt.
