Allen R. Halfhill, age 67, of Bradner, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by his loving family on March 15, 2025. Allen was born to Harold & Francine A. (Tornow) Halfhill on November 20, 1957, in Fremont, Ohio. He married Michele A. Kinsey on August 12, 1978, in Nevada, Ohio. Allen was a tool and die maker. Allen is survived by his wife, Michele and their 3 sons Sean (Elizabeth) Halfhill of Pittsburgh, PA, Ryan (Hannah) Halfhill of Lancaster, OH and Troy (Deanna) Halfhill of Junction City, KS, 5 grandchildren Aubrey, Isabel, Kinsey, Jackson and Samuel, brother John (Traci) Halfhill of St. Joseph, MI and sister Cindy (Mike) Woodruff of Fostoria, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Francine.
Allen was a member of St. James Lutheran church and Gibsonburg Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Master. He was a Scoutmaster for Bradner from 1989-2000 and took them to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, Boundary Waters High Adventure Camp in Minnesota and National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia. He loved traveling, camping, hiking and being outdoors. He was a lifelong fan and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed the Ohio State Buckeyes. His greatest love though was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Friends will be received from 3-7 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio with a Masonic Service starting at 7 PM. Celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church in Bradner, Ohio with Pastor Melanie Haack officiating. The burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery near Bradner, Ohio with a bereavement dessert following at the church. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. All arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home online condolences can be made online at barndtfuneralhome.org.
