Allen "Mike" (Coleman) Johnson passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 23, 2024, at the age of 79.
Allen will be deeply missed by his son Michael Johnson (Maryann), "sister" Anne O'Connell, Jack Peterson, Joseph "Pat" & Dawn Dougherty and family, along with several nieces and nephews and his beloved cat "Bailey".
Allen is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Anne Marie Johnson (nee Dougherty) who passed in 2015.
Allen served in the United States Air Force from Nov. 1963 until Feb. 1967. After his military service, he entered the Philadelphia Police Department where he served for 25 years and retired as a Detective in Nov. 1993.
Allen's many hobbies included Bowling, Coaching Youth Basketball at Southwest PAL and St. Mary's Grade School. He also enjoyed playing Pinochle with family and friends
Family and friends are invited to Allen's Life Celebration on Friday, January 10, 2024, from 10:30am until 11:30am, followed by a memorial service at 11:30am, at the Beck- Givnish Life Celebration Home, 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA, 19055. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Allen's memory can be made to the Fraternal Order of Police, Philadelphia Lodge #5 FOP Survivors Fund, 11630 Caroline Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154-2110.

Allen, you have made your final flight into the wild blue yonder´s. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. The final battle is now over and peace has been restored. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Have a smooth flight fellow veteran.
