Allen Fredrick Johnson was born September 12, 1943, to Milford and Jeanette Johnson. He passed away at age 82 on September 29, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (517 SW Des Moines St). Family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens. Allen was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny, Iowa. He farmed in the Ankeny area most of his life with his dad, his brother, Duane Johnson, and his nephew, Bruce Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marva; daughters, Teresa (Steve) Herold and Tracey (Rick) Johnson; step-daughters, Marci (Mark) Long and Marti (Mark) Birchmier; step-sons, Robert Owen and Jeffrey (Lisa) Owen; grandchildren, Kyle Sutton, Jessica (Landon) Schuessler, Emily Johnson, Collin Johnson, Krista (Brian) Frost, Kara Long (Joe Scanlan), Brooke Long (Anthony Cox), Chelsi (Lee) Rothenberger, Brad (Heather) Birchmier, Kayelee Owen, Kalven Owen, Rachel Owen (John Jones), Andrew (Lindsey) Owen, Mackenzie (Jordan) Dowell, and Riley Owen; great-grandchildren, Noelle Owen, Elijah Dowell, Micah Owen, Clara Owen Jones, Ellamarie Dowell, Easton Dowell, Susannah Owen, Mayvie Birchmier, Quinn Frost, Lillie Owen Jones, Ronell Scanlan, Dane Schuessler, Elowyn Owen, and Evelyn Owen Jones; sisters, Verdel Odgaard and Janet Longcor; and sister-in-law, Elaine Johnson.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Duane Johnson, Jerold Johnson, and Merle Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
