Allen Marks, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. His warmth, compassion, and steadfast love for his family were the cornerstones of a life well lived.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the service.
Allen proudly served his country and retired from the United States Air Force, a career that reflected his strong character, loyalty, and dedication. After his service, he continued to show the same commitment to those he loved — always putting family first and lending a hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Hooks Hancock and her husband Daron, and Theresa “Tess” Marks Kimble and her husband Jason. He was a cherished grandfather to Thornn Veillon, Gunner Veillon, Ashley Snider and her husband Zack, and Elizabeth “Libby” Young, and a proud great-grandfather to Michael Veillon, Gabriel Veillon, and Reese Castille.
Allen will forever be remembered for his kindness, gentle sense of humor, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.His memory will be treasured always.
