Allen Michael “Mike” Mathis, 34, of 81 Hazelnut Court , Laurens S.C, passed away, Saturday September 27, 2025, at his home that he shared with Rebecca Sweezy and Ace Mathis. Rebecca and Mike were engaged to be married.

He was born on April 4, 1991, in Clinton, SC, and was the son of David Mathis. Mike was a well-established employee at WSI, Inc in Greenville S.C. He also had been promoted to a sub-lead position and had years of experience with operating heavy equipment as a forklift driver. Mike was a dedicated fixer of any situation. He always knew what to do. He liked fast cars and anything involving fixing fast cars. Most of all and more than anything he adored his family and really enjoyed playing video games and listening to music.

Mike is survived by his fiancé; Rebecca Sweezy; his son Ace Mathis and his cat “Roadie” all of the home.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Laurens County Humane Society, PO Box 1600, Clinton, SC 29325.
