Allen Eugene Mock, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, lifetime member of the Boilermakers Local Union 582, and long-time member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 78. Surrounded by the warmth of his family, Allen's journey on Earth came to a close, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and integrity.
Born on January 11, 1945, in Baker, Louisiana, Allen was the embodiment of a true Louisiana native. Known for his strong work ethic and his unwavering dedication to his craft, he flourished as a welder in the industrial industry. Through his skilled hands, he contributed to the fabrication of countless structures that will stand as a testament to his talent and craftsmanship for years to come.
Allen is survived by his wife, Theodora "Teddy" "Minnie" Allen Mock, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship; daughter, Ramona Mock Strickland (David); sons, Vincent Mock (Theresa Duplessis), Jude Mock; Victor Mock, and Keith Green; grandchildren, Rachel Parks (Kyle Flint), Zachary Mock (Olivia), Jeanne Mock (Sammy); and Amber Strickland; great grandchildren, Ryland Parks and Rhett Flint; numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ben Mock and Ruth Doughty Mock; and his only brother, Arnold Ray Mock.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Mock, David Strickland, Keith Green, Blaze Marino, Robby Wells, Stanley Butcher, Ryland Parks, and Rhett Flint.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Sammy Hymel, Mark Strickland, Gary Strickland, and Jared Browning.
The family would like thank Charlie and Dru, along with the staff of Pinnacle Hospice Care for the great care that was given to their husband and father.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baker, LA, Monday, October 9, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM, officiated by Father Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Plains Presbyterian Memorial Gardens, Zachary, LA.
