In the radiant light of our Savior, the Lord called Allen James Moore, affectionately known as "Uncle Speed," home on October 3, 2025. Born in Marion, Alabama on March 19, 1950, Allen spent his 75 years living life with a heart full of love and a spirit that was as bright as his smile. His life was a wonderful testament of his smart intellect, ambitious drive, and loving nature. Known to light up any room with his funny humor, he was a friend to all and a stranger to none. Allen was a man who was not afraid to be straightforward, always ensuring everyone in the room knew his name. His friendly demeanor and natural charm made it easy for him to strike up a conversation with anyone he met.
Allen was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and Alabama football, displaying his unwavering loyalty every season. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in fishing and driving. His love for life was infectious, and his love for his wife, Debra, was unparalleled. He resided in Hutto, Texas after having lived in Taylor, TX, Elgin, TX, and Alabama. Allen is survived by his wife Debra, his brother Lee Moore, his sister Priscilla Young, his daughters Aderian Kynard and LaShawanda Richmond, his son DaVonn Richmond, his stepsons Troy Hunter (Juliana) and William (Charlotte) Young, and his six grandsons and six granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elouise Moore, and his siblings Annie Moore, Margaret Walker, William Jr., Ella Moore, Nathan Moore, and Rebecca Moore.
As we remember and celebrate Allen's life, let us be reminded of the words from 1 Corinthians 13:7, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." His life was a testament to these words, and his love continues to endure in the hearts of all who knew him. We invite family and friends to share their fond memories of Allen and upload photos to the memorial page. May these shared experiences serve as a comforting reminder of his unique and cherished life.
