Allen Nichols passed away peacefully June 17, 2025, at the age of 88. Allen was born April 24, 1937, in Eudora, AR to the late Harley Nichols and L.V. (Pevetoe) Nichols. Allen was preceded in death by his parents (L.V. and Harley), his brothers (William "Bud" Nichols and Albert Nichols), and his sister (Barbara Sue Lacy).
Allen is survived by his daughter Alana Franklin, her husband John Franklin, and his grandson Levi Franklin. He is also survived by his sister, Carnell Garner. Allen adored his cousins, nieces, friends and many lady friends along the way. He cherished family and friends and always looked forward to sharing stories when they visited. Allen had one special cousin Leisa Nichols Johnson that was his constant companion and caregiver until the end.
Allen was born as a twin to the late Albert Nichols. Allen and Albert traveled the world pipelining. The two brothers were inseparable most of their life. Friends and family can only imagine the joy Allen is experiencing now as the Nichols brothers are back together again. We know the tractors are tuned up and ready to go and the pay scale is good. Allen was an incredibly hard worker and sacrificed much time away from home to be able to provide for his family and to buy a few cows. Allen adored his grandson and delighted in that they shared a common interest in cows. There were a few things that Allen enjoyed more than driving around checking cows and finding a newborn calf.
The Pallbearers are, Chandler Nichols, Bruce Haskins, Terry Nichols, Ronald Nichols, John Franklin, Levi Franklin and Paul Brown.
Visitation is 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 22 at Northside Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. The interment is at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas.
