Allen Keith Philbrook I, age 75, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Sullivan on July 13, 2025.
Born on April 23, 1950, in Saint Elmo, Illinois, Allen had a passion for racing anything he could get his hands on, from motorcycles to go – carts. He spent many years working for Donalson Cycles, building motorcycles and racing whenever he could. His most prized possession was his 23T street rod, a car he meticulously crafted from scratch in his basement. In his free time, Allen enjoyed tinkering in the garage, watching movies, listening to oldies, and cherishing time with his family and friends.
Allen will be remembered primarily as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Allen is survived by his children: Allen Philbrook, II, Keith Philbrook and Sammy Philbrook; as well as his sisters, Janet Hadley and husband Larry and Linda Claus and husband Jim; his four grandchildren: Jayden, Faith, Ricky and Nova; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Wanda Philbrook; and his brothers, Charles and Brad Philbrook.
Visitation will be 9 – 10 AM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
