Brenda Thomas passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the age of 81, in the ICU of Mercy Hospital - Washington.

She was born September 10, 1944, to George & Girtha (Sis) Sieland nee DeClue. On February 23, 1963, she married the love of her life George Thomas. They were married for 62 years. In 1964, they welcomed a daughter Terrie (Theresa). They built a home in Bourbon where they still reside.

The best thing about Brenda is she listened. Family, friend or stranger she always would listen to them & make them laugh or at least smile.

She enjoyed crocheting, making crafts & reading. She always enjoyed taking a scenic car ride with her husband, daughter, & son-in-law. Her most favorite past time was chasing squirrels with her remote control car to keep them away from the bird feed. Her favorite thing to tell everyone was "I'm off like a herd of turtles".

She is survived by her husband George Thomas of Bourbon, Daughter & Son-in-law Terrie & Bruce Scott of Union; one sister, Sandy Koppelmann of Sullivan now Cuba; and many nephews, nieces, cousins & friends.

She was preceded in death by many family members.

Brenda will be missed but never forgotten by those who knew & loved her.

No services are planned.

Memorial donations in Brenda's honor may be given to the Sarcoidosis Foundation or The Human Society.

All arrangements are under the care and direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
