Allen R. Walraven "Raven" of Port Jervis died peacefully at home on June 28, 2025. He was 71 years old.
The son of Patricia Nephew and the late William Russel Walraven, he was born on August 2, 1953 in Detroit, MI.
Raven spent his life working with his hands as a skilled maintenance mechanic at VAW in Ellenville, Tarkett in Newburgh, and Main Tech in Newark. When he wasn't fixing machinery, you'd find him outdoors - hunting in the woods, casting lines while fishing, or out on the water boating. Though he worked hard, he had a soft spot for animals of all kinds. Raven lived simply but fully, finding joy in nature's quiet moments and the satisfaction of a job well done.
In addition to his late father Raven was predeceased by his sister in law Margaret Hayes Morris.
Beloved husband of Christine Morris. Cherished son of Patricia Nephew. Dear brother of Deborah Foody and Renee Bloch. Fond brother in law of Joel Morris. Lifelong friend of Siegfried Kovacs. His four legged friend's Freckles & Jake and his faithful four leggers Ruby & Dixee at his side till the end.
If one wishes to honor the memory of Raven donations may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Port Jervis / Deerpark 202 US 209 Port Jervis NY 12771.
Services are private as Raven wished.

True friends are scarce. They are the ones that are always there for you, with no excuses, no mater the need or the reason, no questions asked.
That was Allen.
In the 49 years that we knew each other, there was never a harsh word or argument between us. If I stayed by Allen and Chris over the weekend. He even went to church with me on sunday, to keep me company, without anyone asking. I believe we were both better for knowing each other.
Allen also got along well with everyone in my family.
As Allen would say,
"Odious good buddy".
May St. Joseph ( patron saint of workers), guide you into heaven.
We will miss you.
