Obituary
James Allen Warnock, fondly known as Allen, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Dublin, GA, on October 31, 2023. Born on July 3, 1957, Allen was a beacon of love, warmth, and selflessness in the lives of those who knew him.
Allen was the beloved husband of Nancy Warnock, his companion, and confidante of 45 years. Their loving union was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jessica Warnock Foskey (Heath), of East Dublin. Allen was a doting "Poppy" to his grandchildren, Baylee Foskey, Maggie Foskey, and Evan Foskey, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and kindness. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenneth Arnold Warnock (Margie) of East Dublin, his mother-in-law, Barbara Fennell Ussery of East Dublin, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hardy Warnock; mother, Colleen Harden Warnock; and grandparents, George and Mary Dee McCoy.
Allen was an honor graduate from the Class of 1975 at East Laurens High School. His commitment to hard work and diligence was evident in his profession as a construction worker, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. Allen was a faithful attendee of the Emerald City Christian Center.
Allen was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed playing softball and had a fondness for hunting and fishing. However, it was his role within his family where Allen truly shined. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, an adoring "Poppy", and a caring uncle. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he ensured that they always felt loved and supported. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Funeral services will be held for Mr. Warnock on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Union Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. Pastor Ellery Aquayo and Elder Jimmy Darsey will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Heath Foskey, Evan Foskey, Daniel Warnock, Joshua Maddox, Melvin Veal, Robbie Sipes, and Reece Foskey.
The family will be gathering at the home of Jessica and Heath Foskey.
