Allen Palmer Yockey, age 88 entered the loving arms of Jesus on April 4, 2025.
On February 14th, 1937 Allen was born to Donald W. and Nelda G. (Palmer) Yockey in Guernsey County Ohio. On January 20th 1962 Allen married Judith A. (Bristow) Yockey who survives him. He was the best grandpa to his grandchildren Gregg (Liz) Yockey, Amanda (Teran) Elenbaas, and Jacob Yockey (Morgan Daly). He loved his great grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Gracelyn, Finley, Willow, JJ, and Sarah. He also loved his good buddies Massimo (Katie) Valera, Danny(Suzanne) Myrice, and Bob(Patty) Herrick.
Allen is also survived by his brother Richard Yockey along with nephews Don (Patricia) Yockey, Jerry (Roxanne) Yockey, and Jim (Terry) Yockey.
Allen served proudly in the United States Army. After his time in the military, Allen started working for CSX where he retired after 41 years. He loved all things to do with trains. Allen and Judy spent many years traveling in their motorhome and on their motorcycle. They traveled all over the US, Canada, Mexico and parts of Europe. Allen loved gardening, antiquing, and was the best cook.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, his son Gregg A. Yockey Sr., and siblings Wayne Sr., Paige, Dolores, and Patricia.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday April 12th at 10am at St. John Church in Williston OH. There will be a private family graveside service following. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. John Lutheran Church Williston, OH.
