Allison Cleveland Haley, Jr., affectionately known as A. C., passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 64 while traveling through South Dakota on his way to work in Montana. Born on October 28, 1959, in Vidor, Texas, A. C. was a true Texan at heart. He spent 33 years in Vidor before moving to California and eventually returning to Texas, where he resided in Brookeland for the past eight years.
A. C. was a dedicated Extractor Operator with John Travis Hydro-Extractors, a role that took him across the United States and beyond. Outside of work, he cherished fishing, attending NASCAR and dirt track races, and watching baseball games. He always cheered for his favorite teams: LSU, the Cincinnati Bengals, the San Francisco Giants, and the Seattle Mariners.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Angie Johnson Haley, and the mother of his children, Sherry Nuckols Haley. His legacy continues through his children, Christopher Lee Haley and his wife Amanda, and Bryan Keith Haley, as well as his brothers, Gary Haley Sr. and Brent Haley. A. C. was a proud grandfather of Cameron and Zee and a beloved uncle to Dennis Haley, Jr., Dwayne Haley, Gary Haley Jr., Dylan Haley, April Haley Dodson, and Amber Deitrich. He also leaves behind great nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him dearly.
A. C. was preceded in death by his parents, Allison Cleveland Haley, Sr. and Betty Jo Chesser Haley, and his older brother, Dennis Ray Haley, Sr.
His legacy of hard work and joy in life's simple pleasures will live on in those who loved and knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Rose City Baptist Church, 1430 Old Highway 90 W, Vidor, TX 77662 with Bro. Tony Wilcoxson officiating.
