Allison Leigh Milburn, affectionately known as Allison, graced this world with her bright spirit on September 24, 2003, and departed from us all too soon on December 16, 2023, due to a tragic accident. She lived a vibrant life that touched many with her kindhearted personality and radiant smile.
Allison's family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a beacon of love and joy to her mother, Tammy Kay Milburn, and her devoted sister, Katie Milburn. She was mommy to her golden retriever Beau. The strong familial bonds extended to her cherished maternal grandparents, Kay and Norman Ayres; her paternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Llewellyn; as well as a host of aunts and uncles including Sherry Robinson, Lee Ayres, Corinne Milburn, and Dean Milburn (Ali). Allison is also survived by her step-siblings, Daniel and Shelby Collins, her niece Carrington, her father, Shane Milburn. and her many cousins, Maggie Rockwell, Julie Stoots, Danny Stoots, Nathan Ayres, Devon Whye, Daryn Whye, Carmen Milburn, Dexter Milburn, and Jake Milburn.
Throughout her life, Allison demonstrated a commitment to excellence, community, and service. She was an active participant in the Pocomoke Field Hockey and National Honor Society, captivated audiences as Band Front Majorette, and was an embodiment of kindness as Miss Congeniality and Miss Pocomoke. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was in the top five of her class. These accolades reflected her belief in the power of community and fellowship.
Allison's interests showed a young woman of diverse passions. Her days were filled with reading, playing with her dog, going on walks, and listening to music. A social butterfly, she relished her trips to the beach and mountains, shopping sprees, coffee outings, vlogging, and the simple joy of hanging out with friends. Artistic at heart, her love for drawing was paralleled only by her aspiration to become a neonatal nurse-a dream that exemplified her desire to care for others.
Allison's absence leaves an immeasurable void, yet her legacy of love, friendship, and boundless enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her light, although extinguished too early, will forever shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
Please join in remembering Allison on December 28, 2023 at 1:00pm at Pocomoke High School. Guests are invited to visit with family and friends beginning at 11:00am.
