Alliyah Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southern Mississippi Funeral Services on Dec. 30, 2025.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Alliyah La'Chelle Smith, 24, who left this world far too soon. Alliyah was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, mother, sister and friend whose presence brought love and meaning to all that knew her.
Alliyah lived with epilepsy, a condition she faced with quiet strength and resilience. Although her journey was not always easy, she showed courage in ways both seen and unseen. She never allowed her illness to define the depth of her heart or the beauty of her spirit; she was known for her gentle soul, her warmth and the way she cared deeply for those she loved. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, and all who knew her were blessed to know her.
Above all, Alliyah was a devoted mother to her precious son Draiko Da'Jaun Smith, who was the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. Her love for him was fierce, unconditional, and endless. A love that will live on through him always.
Alliyah is preceded in death by her grandmother, Diana Brown. She is survived by her parents Tori Carter, Chris Short (April), Siblings: Jaylin Jacob, LaRae Carter, Arthur Carter Jr, Riley Short, Colton Short, Aunt and Uncles: Robert (Kayley) Brown, Jackie Williams, Stephanie (Matt) Clark, Shawn (Alyssa) Smith and her Grandparents: Stanley Smith, Shawn Robinson, Thomas (Michelle) Short.
Services will be held Sunday 1-4-26 from 1pm to 2pm at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Ave Ocean Springs, MS 39564, with a reception to follow at St Martin Civic Center, 15008 Lemoyne Blvd Biloxi, MS 39532.
