Alpha J. Benoit

Alpha J. Benoit, 81, of Bristol, died on Monday (January 13, 2025) at the Summit in Plantsville.
Alpha was born on February 10, 1943 in Canada and was a son of the late Robert and Therese (Cantin) Benoit.
He was raised and lived in Quebec, Canada before moving to the United States in his 30's. A retired union laborer and lumberer, he worked for Lachance Tree Service and Crele Construction. He enjoyed reading, watching game shows, and the outdoors. He attended Mass at St. Ann Church, Bristol.
Alpha is survived by three children: Roger Benoit of Canada, Marie "Josie" Benoit of Bristol, and Lisa Benoit of Canada; a brother: Michel Benoit of Canada; sister and brother-in-law: Ginette and Chris Freiler of Bristol; four grandchildren: Anthony and Angela Reynolds, Steffany Benoit, and Bianca Roy; two great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jack Benoit; brother: Gaetan Benoit; and sister: Pierrette Laprise.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (January 18, 2025) at 10 AM at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
