Alphonse A. DiNardo, known affectionately as Al, bid farewell on April 10, 2024. Born on September 22, 1946, in Fitchburg, MA, Alphonse's life was characterized by courage, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to his family. A highly decorated war veteran, Alphonse was a recipient of three Purple Heart Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese service medal, Vietnamese campaign medal and the presidential unit citation, a testament of his bravery and service. After his military service, he dedicated his professional life to serving others at the Cutler Army Hospital for the Federal Government, where he worked diligently as a supervisor until his retirement.

Alphonse had a zest for life that was infectious. His hobbies reflected his love for excitement and the outdoors. Whether it was cheering on his beloved Grandchildren or his favorite New England sports team, spending a day at the horse races, tending to his lawn and garden, or trying his luck at the casino, Alphonse lived each day to the fullest. His home was always open, and his radiant smile never failed to light up any room. He was a dedicated member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Italian American Lodge of Fitchburg MA. His deep faith was evident in his active participation in St. Anthony De Padua of Fitchburg, MA. As a devout Catholic, he lived by the verse in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."

Alphonse's most cherished moments were spent with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; his children, Alphonse Jr. (Tracey), Angela (Paul) Stamas, and Tina (Robert) Bergeron; his siblings, Louise Lemmo and Michael DiNardo; and his beloved grandchildren, Conner Hartman, Angela Bergeron, Nicolas Siciliano, Ryan Hartman, Alexa Siciliano, and Anthony DiNardo. His love for his family was boundless, as were his Sunday dinners, where all were welcome. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Eva DiNardo; his siblings, Pasquale DiNardo, James DiNardo, Maryann Ogden, Michelina Burt, and Jeannie Jacobby, as well as his grandson Jacob Hartman.

As we celebrate the life of Alphonse, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Al to his memorial page, www.brandonfuneral.com. Each anecdote or photo shared will serve as a comforting reminder of his vibrant spirit, his unwavering courage, and his boundless love for his family. As we remember Alphonse, let us honor his legacy by living our lives with the same generosity, bravery, and love that he exemplified.

As Papa would always say "WATCH OUT!"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
