Alta Mae Patterson

Alta Mae Patterson, 91, of Holton, formerly of Oskaloosa and Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Holton Community Hospital. Alta was born July 11, 1933 at Hesperia, Michigan the daughter of Cy W. and Emily E. Spaulding Haywood. She attended and graduated from schools in Arkansas. She worked 15 years as a production worker in the foil stamping department for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence. She also owned and operated the Koo Koo's Nest Craft and Gift Store in Oskaloosa for 10 years, before retiring and moving to Arkansas.
She married Wayne Patterson, Sr. July 30, 1951 at Yellville, AR, he preceded her in death on December 3, 2002.
Survivors include, one son, Wayne Patterson, Jr., Huntsville, AR, two daughters, Debra (Scott) Holbrook, Voila, AR, Kathy (Jeff) McDaniel, Tecumseh, KS, eight grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, William Patterson, Mia Patterson, Matt Griffin, Travis (Heather) Griffin, Joe (Danielle) Griffin, Jimmy (Jamie Hale) Black, Austin (Lacey) Black, 16 great-grandchildren, Paishence, Patrick, Remi, Harmony, Breannon, Brendon, Mayson, Olivia, Oaklynn, Asher, Dakota, Drake, Jaci, Karson, Parks, Raven, and a great-great grandchild, Riley. Alta had 15 brothers and sisters, Essley Roland, Vivian, Vern, Glen, William, Phyllis, Wanda, Judy, Jerry, Carl, Dale, Larry, Stanley, and Jimmy.
Grave Side Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Buster Cemetery, rural Perry. A Memorial Celebration of Life will follow from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Thursday at the Perry Community Building on Front Street in Perry.
