Deanie enjoyed taking care of babies, going to church, listening to spiritual music, and living on the family farm in Louisiana. She lived for many years in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she passed away at Evergreen Manor on August 14, 2025.
Deanie is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Ozie Permelia; brother, Herbert Patterson of Battle Creek; and sister, Jeanetta (Michael) Blackmon of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is also survived by many nieces including Valeri Patterson, who was her legal guardian, nephews, and sister-in-law, Betty Patterson, of Battle Creek.
Deanie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lenzie (Dorothy) Patterson, George "Sonny" Patterson; and sister, Lenora Francois.
