Alton Abbott Obituary
Born April 1, 1939, to Alton L. Sr. and Alice Abbott in Lubbock, TX. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1957 where he met the love of his life, Mollie Williams. They were married on December 22, 1959. He was a proud entrepreneur and owner of Abbott Trailer Sales for more than 40 years. Alton was an amazing father and Papa. He loved family gatherings and spoiling his kids and grandkids. He was a lifelong Red Raider fan, outdoor enthusiast, and avid book reader.
Alton is survived by his wife, Mollie; daughter, Amy; sons, Cary and wife Leisa; Blake and wife Shannon, Chance and fiancée Ashley. Grandchildren: Tamara and husband Jacob, Chase and wife Crystal, Addie, Audrey, Tyler and wife Rachel, and Jayton; great-grandchildren, Kinzley, Harper, Mallary, Hayden and Sawyer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bill Ed, and a sister, Lou Ann.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel. A service to celebrate his life of 83 years is scheduled at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Lake Ridge Chapel, followed by a graveside service at Ralls Cemetery.
