He was born on January 3, 1967 in Kansas City, KS to the proud parents Alvin
Lee McCoy, Sr. and Gloria Mayfield.
Alvin was a proud alumni of Washington High School, graduating in 1985.
Alvin was an athlete, participating in wrestling where he won several state
titles and football where he then went on to play at Fort Scott Community
College. Alvin worked as a truck driver at Swift Transportation in
Harrisonville, MO.
Alvin had a love for riding his motorcycle, spending time with grandchildren,
shooting his gun(s) and calling to pester his family members.
To cherish his memories, Alvin is survived by his partner Gelena Garlington,
Daughter; Vanessa McCoy, Sons; Chase McCoy and Rakim McCoy, Step Son;
Anthony Garlington, Father; Alvin McCoy, Sr., Siblings; Angelia McCoy, Clifton
Mayfield, Clayton Mayfield, Kesha McCoy, Ayanna Herron (Lee), Robert
Lamarr Allen, grandchildren (6), nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Alvin is preceded in death by his Mother; Gloria Mayfield, Step Father; James
Mayfield, Step Daughter; Asia Gardner, Niece; Whitney B. McCoy and Uncles;
O'Neal Lee, Maurice Lee, Nathaniel Lee, Nathaniel McDaniel and Sylvester
Lee.
